Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Why should I sponsor you to go shopping?

By sponsoring us you are personally contributing to the development of the artwork.
Also when your sponsorship money goes directly back to you. Your sponsorship is used to purchase an item for you that you will then be able to collect at the final show.
You would normally pay to see a show in a theatre, however, instead of paying for a ticket your money goes toward your own consumption.

Q2. Who keeps the shopping?

YOU. The person who sponsors us will be able to collect their item at the final show on Friday December 8, 6pm @ The Bakery, 233 James Street Northbridge.

Q3. Do I get to tell you what to buy?

You are able to choose a colour and size, which act as the parameters for our shopping crusade. This way we are challenged but still able to fulfil our task. It also means you experience the true spirit of Christmas. Surprise!!!

Q4. Does the money that I sponsor pay the artists?

No. This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Australia Council of the Arts Interarts board. All wages and project expenses are covered by this grant.

Q5. What happens with the left over shopping?

Audience members will be able to vie for any left over items.
Jen and Molly will also be able to vie for unclaimed items.
Items that are not wanted can be left in a box at the final show that will be given to the “Big Issue” to distribute to homeless people.

Q6. What if I don’t like the item I get?

Audience members will be given options during the show to barter their gift with each other.
